I wanted to trace our calligraphic footsteps of our fine art that we’ve created the past 8 years. Because Andrew and I can’t sit still when it comes to inventing new products based on myriad of ideas that we have, an Arteology Map seemed appropriate.

Field Trip with Lisa & Andrew: Leather Shopping!

Who likes to go shopping? Better question, who doesn’t like to go shopping?

Our leather totes have hit a popularity stage that keeps us in the workshop. Yay! So, Andrew suggested on a Friday night that we get our carcasses out of bed to take an hour drive to Ramseur to go shopping for new leather and suede.

This is a video of where we shop and our process for selecting leather and suede for our products.

Now that you’ve seen the myriad of colors available, let us know your preference. While we can’t get the specific blue that you adore, we can come close. As tastemasters, allow us to create the products highlighting your personal taste.

PS. This endeavor proved to agonizing as I learn the ins and out of iMovie vs QuickTimePro. It was also frustrating because the neighborhood bandwidth was painfully slow; the upload took more than 4 hours!! When I find out I’ve uploaded the wrong video… Oy! I have published this video on YouTube, however, because Chardonnay assists in his fashionable way, the inset didn’t show. Sorry I’m so stiff.

PawpArt: The Royal Puss

Bacchus (the FatCat) insisted he wear a crown -don’t ask me why. I told him that if he insists on wearing a crown, I’m adding hearts to it -he had no choice but to acquiesce. Suddenly, he wanted a sash, epaulets -I don’t think he even knows what an epaulet is- gauntlet and a cape. Go figure. The cat wants a cape, like a mouseketeer. Can you imagine Bacchus running around with the feather in his mouth, howling and tripping over his cape?

Of course, he wouldn’t listen to reason. I explained that Edna from The Incredibles wouldn’t design him a cape because they’re too dangerous. Then he reminded me of his first Holiday Season with us.
