About the Paisley
Lucky, lively, and a little rebellious.
This type of paisley is called Mankolam Paisley. Throughout history, the elements of Asian Mankolam and European Paisley designs have symbolized many things, from the Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity, to a Baltic symbol for warding off evil and bringing luck. More recently paisley became a symbol of youth rebellion that continues today in many popular design styles. The Lisa Stewart line of Mankolam-Paisley products encapsulates all of these aspects – lucky, lively and just a little bit rebellious. The unique designs featured on EC Stewart Paisley Collections leather bags, totes and accessories are a contemporary interpretation of the classic Mankolam and Paisley design motifs and were personally developed by Lisa Stewart exclusively for use on our products.
