EC Stewart Designs unveils its latest collection of luxury imagery at SURTEX in New York City
The Next Big Thing Starts With Simple, Elegant Lines
May 20, 2007 | New York, New York – EC Stewart Designs, Inc. today announced the expansion of
the EC Stewart Collections to include vibrant, on-trend patterns and illustrations inspired by designs
and motifs from around the world. These include trend-forward designs influenced by regions and
styles ranging from Marrakech and Art Deco to Africa and Art Nouveau. All of the work within the EC
Stewart Collections is designed to appeal to the new luxury market segment through their distinct
sense of style. The new lines are being unveiled at the SURTEX art licensing show in New York City.
“I have always been influenced by design styles from around the world,” said Elizabeth Stewart,
Creative Goddess and CEO of EC Stewart Designs, Inc. “The inspiration of studying patterns, textures
and artwork from all regions has had a significant impact on the new images and patterns that are
being introduced today.”
It all starts with art!
At the core of everything in the EC Stewart Collections is art. Simple, elegant and sophisticated, the pen and ink illustrations at the heart of every EC Stewart design are developed with an appreciation for the complexities that life confronts us with every day. They present items from the world around us with a sense of style and luxury all influenced and inspired by calligraphic techniques, colors pallets and traditional patterns from around the world.
For manufacturers and potential licensees, the EC Stewart Collections also offer a new level of flexibility in
application and design. Working directly with the artist, companies can take advantage of the unique talents of Elizabeth Stewart to get the exact design they want for their customers. Starting with the simple line work of the artist, licensees can explore color, texture and image opportunities not afforded them by most other illustrators.
“One of the great advantages of the EC Stewart Collections is the flexibility afforded licensees,” said Stewart.
“Starting with my sophisticated line work the image can evolve in almost any direction from the basis for a hip, on-trend pattern to flat black and white or multidimensional sculpture. This combination of flexibility and trend matching make them perfect for luxury and high-tier manufacturers.“
