July 24, 2007 | Raleigh, North Carolina – EC Stewart Designs today announced that it has signed it’s first licensing agreement of 2007 with Heartfelt Charity Cards of Chicago, Il. The five year deal gives Heartfelt Charity Cards exclusive greeting card usage of two designs, developed by Elizabeth C. Stewart, that will be available through both commercial and retail channels.

“The licensing agreement with Heartfelt Charity Cards is very exciting,” said Stewart, CEO and Creative Goddess of ECStewart Designs. “This is the first of what I believe will be many opportunities for licensing the new luxury imagery that we introduced earlier this year at the Surtex show in New York City.”

It all starts with art!

At the core of everything in the EC Stewart Collections is art. Simple, elegant and sophisticated, the pen and ink illustrations at the heart of every EC Stewart design are developed with an appreciation for the complexities that life confronts us with every day. They present items from the world around us with a sense of style and luxury all influenced and inspired by calligraphic techniques, colors pallets and traditional patterns from around the world.

For manufacturers and potential licensees, the EC Stewart Collections also offer a new level of flexibility in application and design. Working directly with the artist, companies can take advantage of the unique talents of Elizabeth Stewart to get the exact design they want for their customers. Starting with the simple line work of the artist, licensees can explore color, texture and image opportunities not afforded them by most other illustrators.

“One of the great advantages of the EC Stewart Collections is the flexibility afforded licensees,” said Stewart. “Starting with my sophisticated line work the image can evolve in almost any direction from the basis for a hip, on-trend pattern to flat black and white or multidimensional sculpture. This combination of flexibility and trend matching make them perfect for luxury and high-tier manufacturers.“
